THE UMP45

A compact, lightweight submachine gun, the 4.9 pound UMP45 is being offered for sale by HK Defense Inc. in the U.S.

Simple yet highly capable, the UMP45 includes many of the same characteristics found on the UMP40 and UMP9 models. It utilizes a 25-round straight polymer magazine, folding buttstock, bolt catch and fully ambidextrous controls as well as a user replaceable barrel. Other features and benefits include:

• Polymer construction for reduced weight and corrosion resistance.
• Molded-in hard points for accessory rail attachment
• Can be fired with buttstock folded
• Closed bolt operation ensures excellent accuracy at extended ranges
• Operating controls like those of other HK weapons simplifies training

• Available as a select-fire submachine gun or semi-automatic only carbine, with a variety of trigger group options including single fire, 0-1-2, NT(Navy) and 0-1-2-full.
